This is an extraordinary Victorian Royal Flemish Vase produced by the Mt. Washington Glass Company in the 1890s. Instead of a heat-sensitive glass that changed color, Royal Flemish was a lavishly decorated glass that featured various enameled scenes, often with the addition of gilding. This particular vase was enamaled to look like stained glass. Free from any cracks, chips or repairs, it is in pristine condition as shown in photos. It has four color segments and is designed (hand-painted) with flowers, vines and raised gold scrolling. Meausres 12 7/8" tall. An utterly beautiful example of high end Royal Flemish Victorian Glass. INV# 15-0453.
